Love, Empathy and Compassion are the greatest of all human affections, and Friendship the noblest and most refined improvement of Love. It matters not in which order they flow. By Friendship I mean the greatest Love and the greatest usefulness, and the most open communication, and the noblest sufferings, and the heartiest counsel and the greatest union of mind and spirit of which two souls are capable. At its heart lies Intimacy, for when we are intimate with someone we are simultaneously being intimate with ourselves. What emerges from this exquisite seduction is the Elegance, Grace and Splendour of a flowering RadiantΒ Rose.

Thou fair-haired angel of the evening,

Now, whilst the Sun rests on the mountains, light

Thy bright torch of Love, thy radiant crown

Put on, and smile upon our evening bed!

Smile on our loves, and, while thou drawest the

Blue curtains of the sky, scatter thy silver dew

On every flower that shuts its sweet eyes

In timely sleep. Let thy west wind sleep on

The lake; speak silence with thy glimmering eyes,

And wash the dusk with silver.

  1. Reblogged this on Opher's World and commented:
We humans have reached the heights we have achieved through cooperation.
On that primeval beach I like to think that we reached back and offered a helping hand.
Friendship is the basis of our success.

An inspired comment my friend – such depth of view, such reach of mind, expansive and expanding. The re-blog is most generous as is your style and natural disposition.

‘Friendship is the basis of our success’ – and always will be when we learn how to be together as one-people moving ever closer towards an understanding of Love and Compassion.

Thank you for your Love and friendship Opher ❀

Enjoy a wonderful weekend. Happy writing!

So very true πŸ™‚ Blake was visionary, a man at one with the universe, a receptacle for Love whose metaphysical poetry appears always as a never-ending dream. I greatly admire his work, his penmanship, his sincerity and his mystery in equal measure. This poem has long been a favourite of mine. Love is his muse, wonderment and adoration his constant companion, self-expression his heart-felt desire: these affections are not exclusive attributes/virtues, for we all have capacity to know Love and to be Loving.

Yes indeed a beautiful Autumn day, crisp and clear, warmed by sunlight, beautified by Love and made amazing by friendship such as yours. Thank you ❀

Have a wonderful evening and a fabulous weekend.

Love and Be Loved. Namaste πŸ™‚

  2. “At heart is intimacy, because when we are familiar with someone, we are at the same time familiar with ourselves.”

Wonderful, I have seperated my eyes πŸ™‚
Trust is very important only by today’s time very difficult πŸ™‚

  3. Namaste Balle, wie geht es ihnen? πŸ™‚

In Truth as with Love, there is no separation between us – it is only our humanistic ideology, our outlook and perspective on Life, that differentiates one from another. When we act without due-regard, with selfishness, when we seek dominion over one another, I do not believe we are being Truthful to ourselves. Love is our fundamental state and our highest ideal and to separate ourselves from Love means disassociating one’s self from such an exquisite virtue.

Trust is indeed missing from our World, as too are Openness and Transparency. There is an awful lot of work to do to reinstate a sense of Trust amongst us. Whilst we each have a responsibility to play our part, the greatest effort must be made by those who hold power and seek to regulate our lives inappropriately. One must live in Hope whilst keeping Faith in our Heart that positive change will occur on a global scale. I do believe the tide is turning and a new world emerging. Earth can be a beautiful place for everyone again.

Thank you for your appreciation and kind comment.

    Nos da Balle, Namaste πŸ™‚
