PIPER AT THE GATES OF DAWN – (12) – Alkemi – (10)

Alkemi (Part 10) continues the unfolding story of a Red Kite ascending on a metaphysical stairway watched by Venus who shines brightly above him. It is her Love that impels the Kite upwards and onwards into the very Heart of Creativity.

~ Piper At The Gates Of Dawn – (12) – Alkemi (10) ~ By Dewin Nefol ~

The dead have awoken within me: guardians of the afterlife,

Guides through darkness, protectors from demonic strife.

I feel their flux their hallowed flow, I see the underworld the swarthy  glow,

I sense black blood throbbing in my veins: I know of their woe their never-ending pain,

Life stolen from them in the ender’s game, by the Reaper who scythes again and again.

But for what purpose do they haunt me? Indeed why are they there,

Waiting for me at the top of the stairs to join with them in communal prayer

Worshiping Darkness idolising Death, intoxicated by memory of one last breath

Released in the grave grey wilderness, where restless they roam seeking a home but finding only me,

Empty of Death full of Life, a receptacle for energy: an opportunity to live and dream again, reborn in the words of Poetry.

    • Hey Opher, Namaste 🙂

Thank you kind sir. It is amazing what energy can be generated when one is confronted with the deceit, desperation and blatant lies of in-human beings colluding together to protect the already deluded and confused. And just for once I’m not talking about UK politicians either, just the idiots one is unfortunate enough to encounter and have to put up with in every day life. I’m sure you have had much the same experience and will appreciate my perspective.

Unabated – yes indeed that is a fine, fine word! It speaks of rocket power and chance to escape Earth’s gravity. And to be honest I am very eager to buy a one-way ticket and feck off…I will not miss anything in my life when I go, least of all pathological liars.

Hoping all is well with you and yours and life a juicy steak slowly braising on a flaming fire.

‘May the Whizz of the Wizard always be Wizz ya’

  2. Thank you Dewin for including your sumptuous art and fantastic poetry to the Sense-sational Challenge. I cannot say I understand the poem or how it aligns with the challenge theme, but I absolutely adore the artwork, so incredibly complex and delicate.

peace to you and Namaste always,

    • Hey Linda, Namaste 🙂

Well that is very kind of you to say so, thank you. I wondered if you’d enjoy the image…a slight departure for me…but I know how much you enjoy and appreciate colour, impression, and a little bit of chaos all mixing harmoniously together in the picture pot. I don’t have a specific definition of the image to give you: it is what it is.

Regards understanding of the poem, have you read the previous 9 poems in this series? Perhaps it may shed some light on this instalment for you: the poem is not written in isolation of the preceding 9. To qualify how this might or might not meet your expectations for the challenge…I accepted the word ‘sense’ as the primary motivator. I hoped the poem suggests at having a ‘sense of something’, even if that ‘something’ is an impression only. The Red Kite is ascending an internal stairway with sense of a deathly presence flowing in his bloodstream. If the Kite were not sensitive they would not be receptive to that presence. Hence receptivity is the essence in the sense of sensitive sensing 🙂

I have no idea if you have read any of the posts on Gallybloggers….the blog I manage on behalf of the Homeless throughout Wales, UK – but if not then you’ll be unfamiliar with a post called Supertramp…a tribute piece in honour of a Welsh poet, W. H. Davies: son of the city close to where I live. There is a statue of W.H in the city centre that I visit everyday to sit a while and admire. He inspires me and in that way has made his presence known to me for a second time…the first occasion being when I met him in a dream standing atop a Rainbow. I had a little time to stand and stare and in my vision I watched his light lift from a burial caern atop a distant hill and rise upwards on the soaring arc of a rainbow. That experience gave rise to the poem. W.H is very important to me at this time…he is the inspirational black blood being pumped into my veins: and I am the receptacle he chooses to be reborn in as words in my poems. It is he who is impacting and influencing me at this time. Curiously the Christmas light decoration that has been placed immediately over the statue features a pyramid shape set between two 5-pointed stars. The statue of W.H is of a hooded figure stepping out from within nature and striding between two turtle doves sat on stylised branches either side of him. For all-intents-and-purposes the illuminations hanging above him and the statue deliver the exact same message: however where one is grounded in physical reality the other is fantastical and illuminating: the lights truly come alive when lit up and burning. I know just how that feels 🙂

I you’d like to read either Supertramp or Rainbow, here are the URL’s, I hope you enjoy them both:

Thanking you for your generous comment and enjoyment of the artwork. The Challenge was just that, and enjoyable as well. Thank you.

  5. Dewin, your poetry is so magnificently fluid, so beautifully uplifting. It makes me want to dance and sing and absorb all the glories of Mother Earth and her cosmic counterparts. We all come from the stars, and to the stars we shall return 💜

    • Good evening good friend, Namaste Tina 🙂 How are you?

What light from yonder purple heart doth shine upon my evening hour,
What splash of flash what lavender dash shines radiant from Deeply Tower?
Would it be thee Lady T: purple-hearts beating at the ends of commentary?
Or splashing a dash of lavender flash upon the walls of Castle Deeply?

Thank you Tina, your comments are inspired and joyfully inspiring. Thank you. I hope all is well…I am a little behind in replying to all your wonderful comments: please forgive me for that. I’m looking forward to the Christmas break and chance to catch up in all ways. Sometimes just by simply stopping with a chance to chill is both ideal and opportune so that one may hit the ground running at the start of next year.

Take care of you in all ways always.

‘May the Whizz of the Wizard alwayz be Wizz ya’

Red Love and Peace. Namaste 🙂

      • Namaste, dear Dewin 💜 Your lovely poem has made my day! And as I’m recuperating from being a little under the weather, your thoughtful sentiment has given my immune system a significant boost 🙂 Don’t ever fret about being behind in replying to comments. Any blogger worth her or his salt understands that life is a roller coaster ride, with valleys that obscure our presence at times. I know your heart, my friend. That’s all that matters 💜💜

  6. I have much to catch up with here Dewin.. But your poetry is etched within Time, and I know when I have more time to devour your beautiful words I will be back to read and comment more..
    Have a Magical Weekend.
    Blessings Sue

    • Hey Sue, Namaste 🙂

Hoping all good further North and you and the family all keeping well and looking forward to Christmas. Tis the mucky end of the year, and I imagine the comfort of home is by more congenial for the season than that of cold allotment. I certainly know where my preference would lie lol 🙂 Sorry to have been a little remote of late, I have invested my time of late with image making…I’ve been driven to make pictures, write poems and improve my form inside and outside as a consequence. Quite how far I have reached is still to be determined, but I am pleased with progress thus far and inspired by whatever motivated me into the image creation mould. 🙂

It’s always a treat to have you come by Sue, there is never a rush to read or view the work here: I am just appreciative for your company and interest. I often find your comments have a deeper content or additional layers of meaning inscribed within them. Reflection on Time here is but one instance where just one word brings a rush of thought to my mind. Tis such an immense word that I could happily dream around it forever with a deliberate intention to focus back on the poem here and the forthcoming concluding episode. Alkemi (Part 12) has just been published, Alkemi (Part 13) is due before Christmas. I hadn’t envisaged 13 parts, but adore the fact that there has unknowingly been a secret poem waiting to be penned all along. Perhaps that poem will be one of revelation? If so I wonder what Venus might reveal to the Red Kite, or what indeed what plans she may have for her customised Red Kite? only Time will tell of course. 😀

I shall look foreword to your imminent return and to having my words devoured. Is there anything more a Poet could ask for than honest appreciation of the work and where needed steerage in the right direction. I warm to both aspects when you comment Sue. You know me quite well by now don’t you? lol 🙂

Have a wonderful Sunday evening, tuck in tight from the cold and cherish the warmth all around you. Take care of one and all as you always do.

‘May the Whizz of the Wizard always be Wiz ya!’

Red Love and World Peace. Namaste 🙂
