Golden Pathway

Golden Arch 1

~ Excerpt from ~ The Prisonerย ~ By ~ Emily Bronte ~

Then dawns the Invisible; the Unseen its truth reveals;

My outward sense is gone, my inward essence feels;

Its wings are most free – its home; its harbour found,

Measuring the gulf, it stoops, and dares a final bound.

  1. You have enlightened me two fold today.. I had not come across these words by Emily Bronte before and yet I have read her books.. ๐Ÿ™‚
    Two fold, as I so wish to open those doors within your picture and step beyond the invisible and seek the Truth .. Yet no doors bar our way.. We each hold the key to unlock the gulf we sense that separates us… Each then have wings to fly home.. its harbour to be found… He who dares… ๐Ÿ™‚ is final bound to find that which he seeks..

    Wonderful ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Hey Sue,

      Thank you for an inspiring comment. Glad you enjoyed the post and found a missed treasure in the word’s of Bronte ๐Ÿ™‚

      I agree with you entirely…each of us really does hold a set of keys that fit a set of locks in a series of doors leading to the heart of every truth. I don’t think it matters through which door one passes or in what order, all doors must be negotiated. I also think that there is no correct path through life, but rather a succession of circular paths that draw us into experiences of life in order for the soul to learn and become circular and contained. Equally possible could be the thought that the correct path in life is entirely ours to walk along from the day we are born, that it is already laid out for us should we choose to accept it. Either possibility could exist…yet both are encouraging us to believe we always have the ability to adopt, adapt, advance and improve within a forever changing world.

    • Hey you,

      Wonderful words that are cast like a charm from afar to keep me looking beyond the expansive horizon towards the mystic blue of infinity.

      โ€˜I know that I am mortal by nature, and ephemeral, but when I trace at my pleasure the windings to and fro of the heavenly bodies I no longer touch Earth with my feet. I stand in the presence of Zeus himself and take my fill of ambrosia, food of the Godsโ€™ ~ Ptolemy ~

    Hey O and OM,

    There’s something very pleasing in being the recipient of such kind thoughts, I am touched, thank you ๐Ÿ™‚

    This image was created as a background for an animated film I aimed to complete as part of my university degree. Regrettably, the storyboard and the film were never completed and remain unfinished beyond this point. What happens artistically and creatively from when the ‘doors’ open is almost a complete mystery…

  3. and its up to us to close those doors on finished projects. glad you’ve saved the beginning pieces.
    will it be animated in its final stage? we’d love to see final project if the start is this good….

    • Hey O and OM,

      It’s 7am in the morning and Wales wakes to a restless sky bewitched with the furor of both wind and rain and dismal beneath a wash of sombre grey. To suggest that the wiles of autumn have arrived with gusto would be to ignore the coolness of the draft blowing through the space beneath the front door, which nods with certainty at a spellbindingly cold few months ahead. My one consolation is waking to the gentle shine of a charming comment left on the golden pathway…thank you, and, good morning ๐Ÿ™‚

      These finished projects…well yes…I imagine some doors need to close for others to open or there would be never be forward progress, and life would be a static and unfulfilling misadventure. Sitting here deliberating on your question with a steaming cup of coffee to help free the little grey cells, my mind turns to an animated film I recall from university that takes a quirky look at Doors. The script is written by an author I have enjoyed, Russell Hoban, whose dream-state, chanting and surreal narrative accompanies the film, which is directed by David Anderson. …As the article suggests…”DOOR concerns man’s relentless and impetuous curiosity and the results of his actions when he takes one step too far. It examines our ability to shut our eyes to what those results are, or may yet be. The film employs a mix of animation, pixillation in outdoor locations, animation of photographic images and xerography.” It’s well worth a 5 minute detour should time allow.

      Speaking of which, it’s 7.32am, and whilst part-way through the second injection of caffeine…I figure I should at least try to get the day started. But…perhaps first a little breakfast…

      Enjoy a great nights sleep on the way towards an enjoyable Sunday morning ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Hi dn,
    You’ve go to create a tarot deck!!
    78 images. Though it would be great to go thoth style, with two extra magi /magician cards. Bringing you to a grand total of 80 cards.
    Granted, it Would take awhile for you to compile, and there’s tremendous research involved, but my, what a masterpiece it would be in your hands and with your spirit!!
    Hugs,. O and om ๐Ÿฑ

    • Hey Aleya,

      How lovely to have you call by and leave a smile and generous words. I thank you for both and also for your presence here at Dewin’s ๐Ÿ™‚ Wonderful to see you back on WP…I trust all is well in Aleya-ville and that new ventures and new paths bring opportunity and personal reward.

      I can only imagine that Isis presents herself to you as a sign that you are walking the royal road of dreams and finding your own way back to the throne upon which you will sit to rule your ‘upper kingdom’. Long may she linger and long may she prevail! I’d be fascinated to hear more about her involvement in your life. Certainly she plays a big part in my life and continues to nurture and protect, to influence and charismatically guide my thoughts and dreams. Isis is quite a woman isn’t she? ๐Ÿ˜‰

      Take care of you, and enjoy the continuing shine of ever-present beauty in your life. Have a glorious day!
